The 1967 Shelby GT350R is a rare high-performance variant of the Shelby GT350 Mustang, built for racing. It was developed by Carroll Shelby's team to dominate SCCA competition. Featuring a lightweight body, upgraded suspension, and a 306-horsepower 289-cubic-inch V8 engine, the GT350R was stripped of unnecessary interior components to enhance speed and handling.
Though only a few were produced, its racing pedigree and aggressive design made it a legend in motorsport history, solidifying its place as one of the most iconic Shelby Mustangs ever created.
This original work as a tribute piece to the legacy of the 1967 GT350R (meaning that the objective here was to be honorific and not trying to recreate a historic moment). The car was tested at the Riverside track. Shelby is sporting his signature black cowboy hat and casual clothes. He is also known for wearing fine timepieces, and he is depicted here wearing the special Tag Heuer Carrera Dato 12 ‘Shelby Cobra’ Dial 3147N.
